Annotated dataset of rural roads in Poland

The dataset was created from 80 RGB orthophotos in GeoTIFF format, acquired in a specific rural area in Poland and retrieved from the Polish National Geoportal. The orthophotos considered refer to Kosina and Markowa, urban-rural municipalities insoutheastern Poland. The image resolution is 0.25 m/px, acquired in 2022; the original size was 9000x9000 px in PL-1992coordinate system (EPSG:2180). The original images are 9000 x 9000 pixels. The images in the dataset have been cropped to obtain 1000 x 1000 pixel tiles. The annotation is based on seven road classes: asphalt, exit, hard road, internal pavement, internal road, rural road, and railways. This dataset has been annotated and is ready to be used for training segmentation models (e.g., YOLO, RF-DETR).
