资源简介:
This data set (investigators D. W. Caress, D. A. Clague, J. B. Paduan) is compiled from AUV mapping data collected on 46 surveys between 2006 and 2020 by the MBARI Mapping AUVs and the AUV Sentry operated by WHOI. The data set is interim and to be considered a work in progress. The navigation model underlying this version of bathymetry was generated on 10 March 2021 using the MB-System mbnavadjust program, with which the surveys are tied together. As future data are acquired, the bathymetry coverage will increase and the navigation model will shift. The "MAUV*All*" bathymetry grids were constructed by stacking (with GMT grdmath "AND" function) year-by-year grids so that the more recent data are on top and thus later coverage supercedes coverage collected prior to the 2011 and 2015 eruptions. The "MAUV*OverEM302*" grids were made from the AUV composite grid stacked above a bathymetry grid made from data collected with EM302 multibeam sonars aboard the R/Vs Thompson and Kilo Moana. All are in the geographic WGS-1984 coordinate system and gridded at 1-m horizontal resolution, as square cells for use with GIS. The data files in this data set are in GMT-compatible netCDF format. Funding for the work was provided through annual grants to MBARI from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and grants from the Ocean Sciences Division of the National Science Foundation (awards NSF OCE-1356839, NSF OCE-1737019) to David W. Caress, William W. Chadwick, and Scott L. Nooner.
