This dataset support a manuscript “ Microbial mediated recycling constrains primary production contribution to export flux in an oligotrophic system.”, currently under review at Limnology & Oceanography. This dataset accompanies research investigating microbial community composition,bacterial production, primary production, and carbon export in the ultra-oligotrophicEastern Mediterranean Sea (Levantine Basin). Sampling was conducted as part of theDeepLev long-term monitoring time series (2016–2020). Raw Illumina 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing data associated with these sampleshave been deposited in the NCBI Sequence Read Archive (SRA) under: BioProject ID: PRJNA1371416 This repository contains all processed sequencing outputs,taxonomic annotations, environmental metadata, and depth-integrated datasets usedfor statistical analyses and figure generation in the associated manuscript.
