X-ray Spectroscopy of IRAS13349+2438

PV We plan to use the long observation of the quasar IRAS13349+2438 to verifythe capability of the RGS to separate and characterize the various components inits Xray spectrum: in particluar, this object has shown evidence for absorptionby ionized oxygen which suggests the presence of a dusty warm absorber, and for rapid variability. We will axssess the accuracy achievable in deriving itsphysical parameters (ionization stages, densities, gas velocities, etc.) overtime, and also demonstrate the feasibility of seraching for emission features(in particular OVIII Ly alpha) from the warm absorber. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
