Supplementary Material: Constraining the drivers of barium isotope composition in marine barite: Insights from Pliocene-Holocene Eastern Mediterranean sapropels

The supplementary material consists of two files:

- The Excel file “Supplementary Data – Monedero-Contreras et al.” contains the full geochemical dataset used in this study. It includes measurements from sediment and barite samples collected across multiple Eastern Mediterranean sites, spanning both sapropel and non-sapropel intervals. The file compiles all raw and processed values required to reproduce the geochemical analyses, isotope calculations, and figures presented in the manuscript.

- The PDF file “Supplementary Information – Monedero-Contreras et al.” provides detailed descriptions of the laboratory procedures employed in this study, including barite separation, dissolution, Ba purification, and isotope measurement protocols. It also contains additional figures (e.g., cross-plots, depth relationships) and correlation tables that further support the interpretations and conclusions presented in the main text.
