Microbial community of microalgae-fed biogas reactors. biogas fermenter metagenome

This study describes the microbial community composition of a thermophilic Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) and a mesophilic Anaerobic Membrane BioReactor (AnMBR) for the production of biogas. The reactors were fed microalgal biomass, comprised mostly of Scenedesmus spp., which had been produced in a photobioreactor with wastewater effluent. The microalgal biomass was also analyzed for this study.
