State Succession in the Space Object Catalogue: A Machine-Readable Dataset of Responsibility for Objects Whose Owners No Longer Exist

v2026.08: Methodology addendum (25 July 2026) covering the era-aware legal basis for pre-1967 objects (customary law and UNGA Resolution 1962 (XVIII) Principle 8, carried into OST Article VII; registration practice under Resolution 1721 B (XVI)) and the launch-time territory ruling for Soviet-era Baikonur launches (USSR at launch; Kazakhstan from 16 December 1991). Incorporates corrections verified against the Space Law Corpus (release v2026.08.0), including that Principle 8 is carried into rather than verbatim codified by Article VII, and that the express recall of Resolution 1721 B is in Resolution 62/101, not the Registration Convention preamble.
