Comparative responses of legume vs. non-legume tropical trees to biochar additions

This dataset contains growth and harvest data from a common garden experiment investigating the growth and morphometric responses of legume and non-legume tropical tree species to biochar amendments. The study examined the effects of wood-feedstock biochar applied at rates of 10 and 20 t/ha on sapling growth across four legume species (Acacia auriculiformis, Acacia mangium, Delonix regia, Pterocarpus santalinus) and four non-legume species (Eucalyptus alba, Melia azedarach, Swietenia macrophylla, Syzygium cumini).

The dataset includes measurements of growth parameters, morphological traits, and biomass accumulation under different biochar treatments. The associated manuscript is currently under review, and updates will be provided upon publication.
