Project Description: When students think generally about their need satisfaction/frustration in school writ large, they are summing across discrete activities. At school, assessment is a discrete activity where needs are likely differently satisfied than through instruction - which is where most of the literature exists. To focus on specifically increasing need satisfaction and decreasing frustration in the domain of assessment, a domain specific measurement tool is required. The purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to conduct a validation study on a new measure of Basic Psychological Need Satisfaction and Frustration in the domain of classroom assessment (BPNSF-CA).
