<p>Data on the photocatalytic hydrogen production through a dye-sensitized photocatalytic system employing MXene (Ti<sub>3</sub>C<sub>2</sub>T<sub>x</sub>) and a non-noble cobalt metal catalyst. Obtained data demonstrated that simple integration of eosin Y, Ti<sub>3</sub>C<sub>2</sub>T<sub>x</sub> and cobalt salt (CoSO<sub>4</sub>) significantly enhances the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution, outperforming system that do not incorporate Ti<sub>3</sub>C<sub>2</sub>T<sub>x</sub>.</p>
