资源简介:
These data are radio-frequency identification (RFID) tracking of individual range use by free-range hens from different rearing enrichment treatments. The RFID data were collected from 25 until 65 weeks of age. The collection also includes counts of hens on the range across the first two weeks of range access and albumen corticosterone concentrations from eggs sampled prior to and after first range access. \nLineage: RFID data were collected via microchip leg bands attached to each hen that registered movement in and out of the range pop holes. Range count data were obtained manually via video recordings of the range area. Albumen corticosterone concentrations were sampled via radioimmunoassay. All birds were reared with different enrichment treatments for 16 weeks before being moved to the adult free-range laying hen facility. All data were collected in an experimental setting on a group of 1386 hens across a period of 10 months (total experimental duration including the rearing period was 16 months).
