Dataset used in "The role of property rights in shaping the effectiveness of protected areas and resisting forest loss in the Yucatan Peninsula" forthcoming in PLOS ONE. <br><br>The goal of the study is to explore whether deforestation patterns vary by tenure regime (community forests (ejidos), former ejidos converted into private property, and private property as well as their interactions with protected areas).
