This repository contains the DTU course contact hypergraphs used in the paper "Simulation-Optimization Approaches for the Network Immunization Problem with Quarantining" (Hoogervorst et al.). These contact graphs are based on the course subscriptions of students at DTU for the fall 2020 semester. Note that the same underlying dataset was also used within the paper "Reducing disease spread through optimization: Limiting mixture of the population is more important than limiting group sizes" (Bagger et al., 2022).Contact GraphsThree contact hypergraphs can be found:The DTU Full contact graph, which is based on courses across all DTU departments.The DTU Management contact graph, which is based on courses taught at the DTU Management department.The DTU Engineering Technology (DTU Eng. Tech.) contact graph, which is based on courses taught at the DTU Engineering Technology department.We note that the graph files have been anonymized, meaning that no identifiers are provided for either the courses or students, i.e., the nodes and hyperedges in the graph are solely identified by a unique random ID. Moreover, for this same reason, node and hyperedge IDs are not synchronized between the different graphs.File StructureFor each hypergraph, the following data files are provided:The "graph_name_info.csv" file states the number of nodes in the graph and the total number of (time) periods considered.The "graph_name_nodes.csv" file gives the nodes connected by each hyperedge, i.e., the individuals involved within the given course activity.The "graph_name_periods.csv" file gives the periods in which each hyperedge is active, i.e., the time periods during which a certain course activity takes place.The structure of the "graph_name_nodes.csv" file is as follows:The first entry in each row gives the ID of the hyperedge.All following entries give the IDs of those nodes connected by this hyperedge.Moreover, the structure of the "graph_name_periods.csv" file is:The first entry in each row gives the ID of the hyperedge.All following entries give the time periods during which this hyperedge is active.<br><br><br>
