The goal of the study was to probe principles of competitive exclusion in cancer through investigating frequency-dependent growth dynamics. For this purpose, PC-9 cells were cultured for 6 months either in DMSO or Gefitinib to establish cell lines sensitive or resistant to Gefitinib.
