This table summarizes data collated for quality assessment for a systematic review.<br><br>We assessed data quality and risk of bias using approved tools from the Joanna Briggs Institute. We downloaded a standard data collection proforma, and populated this alongside data extraction to include: were criteria for inclusion of samples to be clearly defined? Were subjects and settings described in detail? Was exposure measured in a valid and reliable way? Were objective, standard criteria used for the measurement of the condition? Were confounding identified and what strategies were put in place to deal with confounders? Were outcomes measured in a valid and reliable way? and lastly was the appropriate statistical tool used?
