资源简介:
The dataset contains the scanning electrochemical micrographs of the femtosecond laser (FSL) ablation at the surface of commercially available carbon black-filled poly(lactic acid) 3D printed electrode. The process is used for the increase of the charge transfer of this electrode in electrochemical studies. The FSL pulse frequency was set to 200 kHz corresponding to a maximal pulse energy of 20.1 µJ. The laser beam was focused on the sample surface to a spot of 25 µm diameter. 100 µm diameter inlaid disk Pt microelectrode, acting as the SECM tip (working electrode), was obtained by sealing a 0.1 mm diameter Pt wire into borosilicate glass capillaries using a PC-10 micropipette puller. A 0.5 mm diameter Pt wire and Ag|AgCl|KCl(3 M) were used as the counter and reference electrodes, respectively. The sample with laser-ablated lines was mounted in the bottom of a custom-made Teflon SECM cell so that the SECM scanning area covered both the ablated lines and the intact sample surface. Constant height imaging was performed with the unbiased sample in 0.8 mM of ferrocenemethanol containing 0.1 M KCl as a supporting electrolyte. The tip was polarised at +0.5 V vs. Ag|AgCl to assure diffusion-limited electrooxidation of the ferrocenemethanol. The tip-to-sample distance was adjusted to 50 µm (normalised distance d/rT = 1). The selected micrographs were utilized when preparing the manuscript published in Electrochimica Acta: 10.1016/j.electacta.2022.140288
