WGS data from bacterial isolates positive for 16S rRNA methytransferases (16S RMTases) will be analysed to investigate the genetic environment of the 16S RMTases in order to see what mobile genetic elements they are associated with as well as to construct plasmid backbones they may be found on to determine how they are potentially spreading. Additionally, isolates positive for 16S RMTases will be characterised in terms of MLST and identifying other antibiotic resistance genes they may have.
