The purpose of this study is to determine the factors enabling and limiting mobility of residents in Monterrey, Mexico and was conducted over a 6 year period. Donald Treiman later selected the data and re-scored it with his own set of Prestige Scores. The original study contained 1640 respondents. The study gathered data on respondents' life histories for the following years of birth (1905-14, 1915-24, 1925-34, and 1935-44). Study topics include migration, occupation and labor force participation of respondent,spouse, parents and children, social support networks, living situation, education of respondent, spouse, parents and children, marriage history, size of place, attitudes on women and work, attitudes on housework and child care, life satisfaction, and, land and home ownership.
