The study also considers the contribution of authentic materials to learner motivation, autonomous language learning, and students’ preparedness for real-life communicative situations. The article substantiates the major didactic conditions for the effective integration of authentic materials, including their correspondence to learners’ linguistic proficiency, systematic organization of pre-listening, while-listening, and post-listening activities, and purposeful application of metacognitive strategies. The analysis demonstrates that the systematic and pedagogically guided use of authentic materials can serve as an effective methodological means of developing listening comprehension competence and enhancing the overall quality of foreign language education.
