LPJ-GUESS simulations of vegetation carbon-water dynamics under global change scenarios in Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau (1979-2018)

This dataset contains outputs from the LPJ-GUESS (Lund-Potsdam-Jena General Ecosystem Simulator) dynamic global vegetation model for the period from 1979 to 2018 over the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, driven by daily gridded climate data at a spatial resolution of 0.1° from the China Meteorological Forcing Data. Following localized parameterization, the model was run under four simulation experiments with different combinations of [CO2] and temperature: (1) a historical scenario (Shis), in which both [CO2] and temperature varied according to historical observations; (2) a fixed-CO2 scenario (SfCO2,iTemp), in which [CO2] was held constant at the 1979 level (336.84 ppm), while temperature varied; (3) a fixed-temperature scenario (SiCO2,fTemp), in which temperature for each day was held constant at the 1979 level, while [CO2] varied according to observations; and (4) a fully fixed scenario (SfCO2,fTemp), in which both [CO2] and temperature were held constant at their 1979 values. The dataset provides annual outputs of key ecosystem variables, including gross primary productivity (GPP), foliar projective cover (FPC), plant transpiration (Trans), and evapotranspiration (ET), enabling the investigation of vegetation carbon-water dynamics and ecosystem responses to global change on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.
