We investigated the feasibility of using circulating tumor DNA in plasma as a biomarker for the presence of cancer in dogs. Using copy number based analysis of low depth whole genome sequencing, we compared circulating tumor DNA fractions between healthy dogs, dogs with benign disease such as complex nodular hyperplasia, and dogs with hemangiosarcoma.
