Analysis of the skin and gut microbiome during antibiotic treatment in a mouse model of diet-induced obesity

Obesity is associated with a range of comorbidities including skin inflammation, such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. In this study, we investigated the how obesity impairs skin barrier function. Therefore, we analyzed the changes to the skin and gut microbiome during diet-induced obesity as well as the impact of manipulation of the microbiota by antibiotic intervention.
