Expression profile of the brain (ventral part of telenchephalon, hypothalamus and pituitary) of medaka (Oryzias latipes) kept under outdoor natural conditions were obtained by RNA-seq analysis. Daily transcriptomes on the four equinoxes/solstices identified 1,381 daily-oscillating genes. Overall design: To investigated the daily expression profile of each gene in each season, samples were collected every 4 h for a 24-h period at the spring equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox, and winter solstice in 2018 and 2019 and RNA-seq analysis was performed using these time-series samples.
