Learning-by-Concordance in Physiotherapy: Quantitative and Qualitative Data on Perceived Clinical Reasoning and Feedback

This dataset contains data from a study exploring the impact of a Learning-by-Concordance (LbC) activity on physiotherapy students’ perceived clinical reasoning and cognitive load. The study also examined how feedback provided within the LbC framework influenced students’ learning experience and reflection. The quantitative dataset (Excel file) includes anonymized data on participants’ group assignment, individual ID, cognitive load (Paas scale), perceived clinical reasoning (self-assessment score), and total training time in minutes. The qualitative dataset (PDF file) consists of anonymized reflective reports written by students after the LbC activity. These reports were analyzed thematically to explore participants’ perceptions of feedback, cognitive engagement, and learning processes. Data were collected in March 2024 in Montréal, Canada, as part of a doctoral research project on clinical reasoning development through Learning-by-Concordance in physiotherapy. All data have been anonymized.
