资源简介:
Dataset presents values of electrical resistance measured for three developed conductive packimg materials for the application in a BTF-MFC system. The materials were as follows: ceramic Rashig rings (BROWIN, Poland) and polyurethane foam (PPI 10, Murano Feniks, Poland). Three variants were of the materials were prepared as follows: R1: Rashig rings impregnated by immersion in molasses for four days and then subjected to calcination at a temperature of 700°C for 4 hours (RSD 50x300/100P, Czylok, Poland). R2 hydro: Rasching rings subjected to hydrothermal carbonization: the rings were impregnated in molasses by immersion for four days and  then subjected to hydrothermal carbonization in a at 180°C for 24 hours in a closed vessel. Then, the rings were subjected to calcination procedure in the laboratory furnace in anaerobic conditions at a temperature of 700°C for 4 hours (RSD 50x300/100P, Czylok, Poland). PU disk: Polyurethane foam disk (PPI 10) covered with ceramic slurry obtained by the following procedure: oxides in the form of fine powder were mixed in mass proportion of SiO2 46,2%, Al2O3 26,4%, ZrO2 27,4%, then water glass (potassium silicate solution) was added in a ratio 2:1 by mass with a constant mixing. Disks were immersed in the obtained slurry and after removing of the redundant slurry left for drying at a temperature of 85°C for 5 hours. Next, the calcination process was conducted in the laboratory furnace in anaerobic conditions at a temperature of 600°C for 4 hours (muffle furnace, FCF 12SHM/n, Czylok, Poland). After cooling hard, porous ceramic disks were obtained and subjected to impregnation in molasses to provide a conductive surface on the porous ceramic base by carbonization of the organic layer to graphite. Prepared disks were subjected to carbonization at 700°C for 2 hours without oxygen (muffle furnace, FCF 12SHM/n, Czylok, Poland). Oxygen-free conditions were maintained by passing nitrogen through the experimental vessels. The electrical resistance of developed materials  were measured as follows. The multimeter (Lini-T Ut202) was pinned to two copper plates of the area of approximately 1 cm2. The measured rings were fitted in between two plates and the resistance was measured. For the measurement of the polyurethane disk, the two aluminum foil sheets were applied, covering the whole area of the top and the bottom of the material sample. Resistance measurements were done in triplicate for each packing type. The data were collected during investigations performed in the project "Simultaneous treatment and energetic valorization of waste air from biological processing of municipal waste in the Baltic Sea Region", DEC-9/2022/IDUB/II.2/Sc, Gdansk University of Technology, grant under the Scandium - "Excellence Initiative - Research University" program.
