Novel Duck reovirus strain SY Genome sequencing and assembly. Duck reovirus SY isolate:DRV-SY | breed:Cherry Valley ducks

In 2018, a novel duck-pathogenic orthoreovirus named DRV SY strain subsequently was isolated from liver and spleen of the dead Cherry Valley ducks. In order to understand the molecular genetics information of DRV SY,several overlapping cDNA clones,covering the entire genome of DRV SY strain,were obtained by primer walking RT-PCR. The full-length genome of DRV-SY is 23,419 bp,and the sizes of the 10 segments are as follows: S1, 1,568bp;S2 1,323bp;S3 1,202 bp;S4 1,191bp; M1 2,284bp; M2 2,159 bp; M3 1,996 bp; L1 3,959bp; L2 3,830 bp and L3 3,907 bp.
