Funerary data from Palmyra, Syria collated by the Palmyra Portrait Project

The main dataset consists of counts and descriptions of funerary portraits, tombs and burials and their chronology at the archaeological site of Palmyra, Syria. It derives from the Palmyra Portrait Project led by Rubina Raja (Aarhus University, Denmark) between 2012-2020. The project was funded by The Carlsberg Foundation.
