In this project, cultures transforming sitagliptin were enriched from the hyporheic zone of River Erpe, Berlin, Germany. Enrichment cultures were analyzed by 16S gene amplicon sequencing. Cultures transforming sitagliptin transformation product TP233 were additionaly analyzed via shotgun metagenomic sequencing.
