Opportunistic pathogen that causes foodborne diseases like intestinal infection or traveller's diarrhea

A comprehensive analysis of the genetic evolution, virulence factors, carbohydrate-active enzymes, drug-resistant genes and phenotypes were performed to assess the influence of bacteria's source and lineage on pathogenicity risk, providing a reference for further studies on source tracing and treatment of L. hongkongensis related infections.
