Forest Highway System Routes in Kentucky

This feature layer displays officially recognized forest highway routes in Kentucky, designated through a partnership between the U.S. Forest Service and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC). Each route is assigned a Road Number by the U.S. Forest Service. While additional forest service roads exist, only those formally recognized as forest highways are included in this dataset. The Forest Highway Program, managed by the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Federal Lands Highway (FLH) program, focuses on roads located within or near National Forest System lands.
