资源简介:
We compared the short-term (4-day) adaptations in skeletal muscle mitochondrial function and gene expression between short-frequent bouts of physical activity and time matched single-continuous physical activity. Overall design: Inactive adults (N = 19, Age: 32.2 ± 6.4 years, BMI: 30.3 ± 3.0 kg/m2) completed three interventions, SED: sedentary control, MICRO: 5-min brisk walking each hour for 9hr/d, ONE: daily 45-min continuous brisk walking bout. Fasted skeletal muscle biopsies were collected the morning of day 5.
