The Sign Language Analyses (SLAY) Database

Signed languages have many unique ways to encode meaning. Some of these ways include using different handshapes, motions, which direction the palm and wrist are facing, whether one hand or two is used, and facial expressions. This dataset compares which different sign languages use which of these grammatical building blocks. This database contains information on the parameters used by 87 signed languages, taken from various academic sources and compiled by hand.
