Mixed-methods social network data for patients and staff receiving/providing hospital at home services in a rural environment.

This dataset supports the University of Southampton Doctoral Thesis entitled “Exploring the Effects of Social Network Dynamics on Patients Receiving ‘Hospital at Home’ Care in a Rural Environment"

The dataset contains mixed methods data. Semi-structured interview data of healthcare professions (n=9) from a Hospital at Home service, transcribed verbatim into tables on Microsoft Word. Quantitative data from questionnaires completed by Hospital at home patients (n=76) in SPSS.

The data is a survey data and analysis of patients receiving Hospital at home services. this includes Social network, demographic, Quality of Life, loneliness, self efficacy and collective efficacy data. Interview transcripts from semi-structured interviews of nursing staff from a Hospital at Home service in a rural area which explores the roles of patients, healthcare professionals and social networks of support.
