Summary
This
metadata record provides details of the data supporting the claims of the
related manuscript: “The human intermediate prolactin
receptor is a mammary proto-oncogene”.
The
related study aimed to determine if a transforming event similar to that of truncated
mouse hormone prolactin receptor (hPRLr) occurs with the hPRLr in human breast
epithelial cells and to better understand the mechanism behind such
transformation.
Subject of
data: ATCC cell lines; Mus musculus
Sample size:
n=3 for all experiments, to assess variation in experimental approach(es) and
determine statistical significance; In vitro studies were replicated with two
different cell lines (MCF10A vs MCF10AT, T47D vs MCF7).
