Intestinal TLR4 Knockout Modulates Gut Microbiota Following Stroke in Mice

This study aimed to investigate the alterations in gut microbiota following stroke in conditional intestinal epithelial TLR4 knockout mice. We collected contents from the jejunum, ileum, cecum, and colon of both wild-type and intestinal epithelial TLR4 knockout mice and performed 16S rRNA sequencing. The research explores the relationship between intestinal TLR4 deficiency, changes in the gut microbiome, and the amelioration of outcomes in ischemic stroke.
