CocoaSoils Core Trials Dataset

The Core Trials are a set of long-term fertilizer experiments established in the major cocoa-growing regions around the world. These trials aim to evaluate the effects of different rates and combinations of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) fertilizers on cocoa yield and productivity. A total of ten Core Trial sites were established across six countries — Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ecuador, and Indonesia — in collaboration with national and international research partners.
