资源简介:
The purpose of an admission register was to record basic details about children admitted to the school, and about their parents or guardians. The registers were also used to record the progress of the children through various classes and the date of their leaving the school. Pupils' records were numbered sequentially, with early volumes having different sequences for boys and girls, and new sequences beginning each year. From the late 1950s, children were entered into new registers in order of admission, regardless of gender.Volumes contain information pertaining to each pupil, including: date of admission; pupil's name; sex (M or F); date of birth; religious denomination; date of admission and grade/form entered; previous school (name and location); date of leaving and grade/form left; destination (school, occupation, etc); guardian surname, given names, whether female, male or guardian (F, M, or G).
