Bacterial community in floral nectar of Nicotiana glauca: The roles of environmental versus spatial factors along climatic gradient and across the globe

Nicotiana glauca is native in central and north west Argentina and Bolivia and has been widely introduced to native habitats across the globe, including other parts of South America, Australia, California, Hawaii, the north and east Mediterranean region, North and South Africa and the Canary Islands. Thus, the study of this plant species is suitable for studying global dispersal. We studied the spatial factors that affects floral nectar microbiota dispersal by exploring the role of geographical factors in three scales (i) local (within a site) (ii) regional (In a specific region like Israel) and (iii) global (sites across the globe).
