We will use multibeam ptychographic tomography to study iron-based materials as candidates for a carbon-free solid fuel. We aim to obtain sub-100nm resolution over an extended scale (>180um). To accomplish our goal, we will upgrade the current scanning set-up of ID 13 with custom-built optics (multi-lens array) and a fast-acquisition detector (DECTRIS Selun). The obtained tomographic sample reconstruction is an essential step toward understanding material heterogeneity and improving the effectiveness of Fe-based energy carriers.
