These datasets are realated to the paper « Troposphere-to-mesosphere microphysics of carbon dioxide clouds in a Mars Global Climate Model » in Icarus (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.icarus.2022.115098). These datasets come from three simulations, namely : PARAM (without CO2 cloud microphysics), MPCO2 (with CO2 clouds microphysics with only dust and condensation nucleus source), and MPCO2+H2OCN (with CO2 clouds microphysics and adding an additional condensation nucleus source : water ice). Variables from the GCM outputs were post-processed as follows: (1)transform the altitude dimension from sigma-hybrid coordinate to pressure coordinate using the hydrostatic equilibrium, (2) redistribute and interpolate the variable at the same local times everywhere, for each local time from 0 to 22 with 2 hours step corresponding to the output frequency of the GCM. The individual files include the figure file in PDF and the data used in plotting the figure as a NetCFD file. In addition, the full simulation outputs are provided as netCDF files for the three simulations. This work presents the results of ten years of development that has been supported by funding from several sources.
