VPRS 12603 Supplementary Index to Secretary's Inward Registered Correspondence, Annual Single Number System

This index was used to facilitate retrieval of correspondence files filed in VPRS 421 Secretary's General Correspondence, Annual Single Number System by subject heading. It was not part of the central registry's system, but rather was apprarently created by the Secretary's Branch for that Branch's purposes.It does not appear that this was an index to all correspondence filed in VPRS 421. Rather, it appears to have been selective, perhaps created to give quick access to some policy and procedures files.
