Preliminary Literature Review Dataset on Contemporary Leadership

This dataset presents the results of a structured literature review conducted as part of doctoral research on contemporary leadership frameworks. It includes metadata and thematic classifications for 295 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2017 and 2025, sourced from Scopus and Wiley Online Library. No full-text articles or confidential data are included. Articles were screened using Covidence and coded according to leadership model types, principles, organizational outcomes, and focus areas such as generational leadership, diversity, and innovation. Final data were analyzed using SPSS and organized into six Excel sheets: article metadata, thematic codes, frequency tables, comparative summaries, and principle mappings. This dataset is publicly shared to promote transparency, reproducibility, and open science in leadership and organizational research. The data are compatible with Excel, SPSS, R, and Python, and follow FAIR data principles. Licensed under CC BY 4.0.
