FluNet is a web-based influenza virus surveillance tool developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Influenza Programme, which was first launched in 1997. This database collects and displays influenza virus subtype detection data submitted by national influenza centers, with multiple formats including tables, maps and charts, and is updated weekly. These data are critical for tracking global viral transmission and interpreting epidemiological data, and serve as an important tool for monitoring seasonal, zoonotic and pandemic influenza threats.
