资源简介:
In 1939 the Public Service Board arranged for the appointment of personnel officers in all major departments to act as advisers to both the permanent head and to the Board. Thus the Personnel Section came into being, after the War of 1939-45. This series includes both the individual cards of employees seeking resignation or transfer and the returns of departments relating to them. Both actually are different forms of returns. Exit interview cards show name, designation, age, department and date joined service. Under the heading "Reason for Resignation or Transfer" are listed seventeen possibilities one of which is ticked by the Personnel Officer interviewing the employee. Also ticked is one of four indications as to where the employee is to go: (1) other public employment; (2) private enterprises; (3) self-employment; (4) other. Details are filled in by the Personnel Officer, signed and dated. Sometimes the signature of the section head is also shown. On the reverse side of the card under the headings 'Should any action be taken to retain the services of this officer?' - and 'Action -' the Personnel Officer has given his opinions.(8/59-61). 3 boxes. Note: This description is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
