Rhizosphere microbiome of Araucaria angustifolia in the Atlantic Forest and pine parana plantations

Araucaria forests are endemic environments within the subtropical Atlantic forest of South America. Araucaria angustiolia is a critically endangered species by the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. This project seeks to characterize the microbiome of fungi and bacteria of the rhizosphere of araucaria trees found in their natural environment and those implanted for forestry production.
