Research on Gut Microbiota and the Pathogenesis of Epilepsy and Psychiatric Comorbidities

This dataset contains processed 16S rRNA gene sequencing data from a study investigating gut microbiota composition in epilepsy patients with and without psychiatric comorbidities. The dataset includes:

1. Representative OTU sequences (463 OTUs) obtained from 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing (FASTA format)
2. OTU abundance table across all samples
3. LEfSe (Linear discriminant analysis Effect Size) analysis results
4. Alpha diversity indices (Shannon, Simpson, Chao1, ACE, etc.)
5. Differential abundance analysis results

Samples were collected from epilepsy patients and healthy controls at Yulin Hospital, First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, China. The V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene was amplified and sequenced using the Illumina MiSeq platform.
