Yellow Pea Nodule Microbiome

These data comprise full-length 16S rRNA amplicon sequences from sterilized root nodules collected at anthesis from six yellow pea (Pisum sativum) cultivars representing spring and winter seasonal types grown in South Dakota (USA). Amplicons (Bact26F - Univ1492R) were barcoded with the ONT 16S Rapid kit and sequenced on a PromethION. The study evaluates how host genotype/seasonal type shapes nodule-associated bacterial communities, which are dominated by Rhizobium but also include diverse non-rhizobial taxa.
