A national price survey of a box of painkillers revealed that the average price in October 2024 was 1,427 yen. Over the period from January 2015 to October 2024 (a span of 118 months), the highest price for a box of painkillers in supermarkets across the nation was recorded in October 2024 at 1,427 yen, while the lowest price was in December 2015 at 737 yen. The price difference between the peak (October 2024) and the lowest price period (December 2015) for painkillers nationwide was 690.4198 yen.
