资源简介:
This dataset comes from the HERO Dads study, a randomized controlled trial conducted at Montefiore-Einstein in the Bronx, New York. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of HERO Dads, a Responsible Fatherhood program for low-income, non-custodial and joint-custodial fathers, and to compare program delivery formats (virtual via Zoom versus in-person). The dataset includes information from 293 fathers who were randomly assigned to participate in a four-week intervention with 24 hours of parenting and relationship education. The curriculum combined elements of 24/7 Dad, Bringing Baby Home, and Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP 8.0). Fathers completed surveys at baseline and six months post-baseline, capturing outcomes such as father involvement (primary outcome), parenting and relationship skills, co-parenting alliance, emotional intelligence, and child-parent relationship quality. The scope of the data supports research on responsible fatherhood programming, parenting interventions for underserved populations, and the impact of delivery format (virtual vs. in-person) on father engagement and outcomes.
