资源简介:
Dataset associated with the technical report 'Experimental natural capital accounts for the prawn-fishing industry in the Wallis Lake estuary', produced as part of the 'Lifting farm gate profits: the role of natural capital accounts project.' \n \nThe dataset is part of the experimental ecosystem account of land use in the Wallis Lake catchment. It presents a matrix of changes in land use categories between the period over which land use change was assessed (2007-2017). The matrix presents, for each land use class, the area which remained constant over the accounting period; additions from each other class; and, the area which was converted to each other class.\n\nLineage: The data were produced using the following datasets: \n\nState Government of NSW and Department of Planning, 2011. NSW Landuse 2007. Available at: https://datasets.seed.nsw.gov.au/dataset/nsw-landuseac11c \n\nState Government of NSW and Department of Planning, 2019. NSW Landuse 2017. Available at: https://datasets.seed.nsw.gov.au/dataset/nsw-landuse-2017 \n\nThe two datasets were clipped to the Wallis lake catchment boundary. Land use class names were standardised between years where names varied, but alignment was obvious or specified in metadata (e.g. “Production forestry” equated to “2.2.0 Production native forests"; "Intensive animal husbandry” equated to "Intensive "5.2.0 Intensive animal production"; "Estuary/coastal waters" equated to "6.6.0 Estuary/coastal waters 6.6.0"; and "Plantation forestry" equated to "3.1.0 Plantation forests"). Standardised names are essential to assess whether classes changed between years. The two datasets were combined using a spatial intersection with one another to determine land use changes. All non-overlapping features were retained and were included as ‘not classified’ where not available in a particular dataset (to prevent data loss). The account was prepared using the embedded functionality of the reportContPairs function in SynthEEA (Stewart et al. In prep). \n\nStewart, S, Mount, R, Ware, C, O’Grady, A, Pinkard, P, Schmidt, R, Cresswell, ID (In prep) 'SynthEEA: An integrated data analysis and reporting ecosystem for environmental-economic accounting.' \n
